There lies dead a great kid that with the irresponsibility of a careless driver left destitute parents and his three year old kid to mourn his loss for the rest of their lives.
So what's up with the careless driver? Did he got caught by the police? Did he had any insurance at all? For this kid's parents await his body in Mexico. Does anyone have an idea of how much that would cost to send his body back to Mexico? (I'm just a friend of his) But his journey back to Mexico will cost tons of money. For this very same reason I will appeal unto all those eyewitnesses to please come forward and help us clarify all this so that at least the person responsible for this incident would help pay the difunct's way back to his parents in Mexico.
Thank you.

How does CHP know that neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the crash unless they caught the driver of the 2014 white Honda? If they were indeed caught, are charges being filed?

Francisco Flores and Gemello,

I fully agree with you both. We live about 6 blocks from there, and my wife was trying to get onto the 101 S on ramp at Ellis Street by going down Fairchild, the frontage road from Whisman, when her way was blocked by Mr. Velazquez's car.

If the "preliminary investigation" shows that a "white 2014 Honda" caused this fatal accident by cutting off Mr. Velazquez, that indicates that a driver going south on 101 must have provided this info, as it doesn't sound as if Mr. Velasquez was able to. Hopefully, even if the witness did not see even a partial license plate, there are enough traffic cameras around to provide the police with some way of determining the owner of the white 2014 Honda and charging and holding responsible the driver who caused this tragic accident. My heart goes out to the family and friends of Reynoso Velazquez. It was about 12 months ago that I was in the far right lane going south on 101 to exit at Ellis St, when at the Moffet off ramp the car next to me in the #3 lane (2nd from right) pulled suddenly to the right to exit on Moffett through my car. He was heading down to Gilroy, when his Navigation suddenly "told" him to exit at Moffett, which he did without looking first to see if there was a car or motorcycle to his right. Luckily for me (and unusual), I was commuting in my car, and not my bike. I wonder if the driver of the white 2014 Honda was also responding to his or her navigation.......

Hopefully the family of Mr. Velazquez can get some justice here, reckless, irresponsible driving should not be tolerated.
