FCC has been busy helping the internet providers under the current administration. Somehow a major blow to online privacy went through relatively quietly in March ( Web Link ), now this.

Why is this happening? How did it get to this insane amount of control over media being handed over to a small number of corporations? More importantly, what can we do to stop it?

How is this happening? The current administration has been very adept at placing the exact person in charge of each department that will wreak the most havoc on whatever specialty that department is in charge of, giving to the cronies and super-wealthy, and leaving the normal folks out of luck and in the dirt.
Net neutrality must be saved! It is vitally important that we keep the Internet free from censorship, throttling, and extra fees. It is the foundation for innovation the jobs that come from that. "...the internet is a driving force behind our economy," "It creates jobs, fosters innovation, and connects us to each other, even across the globe. An open internet is key to the high-tech world we've built, and it's up to us to help protect it." - Joe Simitian, Santa Clara County Supervisor (from an earlier article that appeared in the voice.)
