Why do so few editorials get posted on the website? It is useful to know the paper's reasoning on decisions like this, its preferences/biases on other issues, etc.

I stand by my belief that names and photos should not be published until the subject is found guilty in a court of law. To publish prior to that only begins the trial in the court of public opinion, and there are no rules there. You cannot un-ring that bell.

I say "Kudos" to you MVV for having the sensitivity to even have the discussion and I echo Liza L's comment. I agree with bob's position on this issue, but recognize that may be asking for too much. That position may also have the unintended consequence of keeping the public in the dark when our justice system fails us, as is way too often the case, IMO. I'm not sure if MVV still practices this, but, if so, I would also like to see ALL news publications omit the ethnicity of the "alleged" offender from their reporting, as well. Keep up the good work!
