Council OKs art installation for children's library

The Mountain View Library Children’s Services Area will receive a whimsical upgrade by artist Lisa Long.

This sounds like a great fit for the Library. The sculptures next to the oak trees at the Pioneer Park-side entrance are my favorite pieces of public art in Mountain View.

I'd second Bruce's comments. If you sit anywhere in view of the oak tree group, on any sunny morning, you can see how popular this art is with residents and library users of all ages, especially those born in this century.
