Does the Charlottesville violence that these vigils are protesting include the violence today against the rally's organizer (tackled and punched when he tried to address the press)? Web Link

@Curious is coming in here defending the Nazis. Guess what, y'all lost back in WW2, and you're going to lose again. You got your boy Trump elected, but it's rightfully being shown just how incompetent he is, and how empty and disgusting your ideology is.

Wow. I voted against Trump, I don't support him, much less any of those hate groups that gathered. My ancestors risked their lives fighting the Nazis in the War.

I queried above because of the popular attitude of decrying "violence" only when directed against your friends. Which the comment by "LOL" has now nicely emphasized.

@Curious, I don't think you got the message your ancestors would have given you about Nazis. They'd be ashamed their descendant is out there defending them.

I guess "LOL" genuinely didn't Get It (repeating the same wild misinterpretation, even after it's pointed out). Dogmatic thinking will do that to you (talking of "ideologies". . .)

I'm not sure what those comments said, but to answer @curious's question, the vigil was for Heather, run down by a car, and others hurt due to people scared of losing their white privileges needing to protest and cause violence even though their leaders are actually in power. One speaker specifically pleaded if these rallies come to Mountain View, we want no violence. I really don't think there is a need to bring up someone punching a Nazi at a candlelight vigil for someone killed at a neo-Nazi rally, and I for one could care less that he was punched. But that doesn't mean those who showed up condone the violence.
@Enough hate already - the comments section of this and many areas of the internet are certainly not a reflection of much of society, this was a peaceful march by people scared and angry and ready to combat hate with love and organization.
