Where is the outrage against the probation department that issued the recommendation the Judge followed?

I don't think we should blame the probation department. The final decision rests with the judge and I think judges, in general, have a bad habit of wanting to move through a case as quickly as possible,
delegating the facts of the case to "advisors" who make recommendations. This judge shoujd have actually listened to the facts in this case and to all of the parties involved. It absolutely amazed me to hear a judge saying "he's a first time offender." Really? It's the first time he ever raped a woman? So does that mean his victim is less traumatized than perhaps his 2nd or 3rd victim might be? Do rapists get a pass for the "first time"? I guess their victims are just collateral damage in the rapist's "learning curve."

I agree 1000% about the Probation Dept...they got away from the deserved scorn....Turner LIED to them...when they realized their error they did an unprecedented action by changing Turner's probation....something NEVER done...Persky WAS NOT bound to take the Probation's Depts recommendation...Persky KNEW of Turners lies and ignored them....Persky must GO!!!

Elena - understand this is why people call the liberal press the "fake news". It is the continual and sad attempt to link any bad or controversial to Trump. If Trump does something bad, then fine just report the facts. This smear campaign just re-enforces Trump supporters and get your political friends voted out of office.

Yes, I see that the Voice also closed off discussion in the "ICE raid reported at Park Vista apartments" article. Yeah, I get it. You don't want anybody to say something that would counter the liberal talk points. (Don't worry, I won't use the I-word, as that gets my posts deleted.)

BTW, another governor just switched parties today further adding to the large majority of Republican governors in office.
