We own property (61 acres) near Bear Valley in Mariposa County and it was affected by the Detwiler Fire. The Fire Crew cut the chain on the gate and entered the property, saving our pump house and electric pole. We met the fire crew by coincidence, who were coming to put out the "hot spots" the day we went to view the damage done... The pump house they saved is crucial to filling the H2O trough for the animals and birds who come to get a drink during this hot spell. We protect the property as a wildlife habitat. We wish to thank all Fire Crews. They are wonderful people. Thank You, Fire Crews!
