This guy was not even concerned about getting caught. Expired tag. Suspended license. Outstanding warrant. Property taken in burglaries. He surely believes he will be OUT IN NO TIME and back to work as a thief. Follow his case and report what happens.

Since this guy will probably be back out on the street soon, please post his mug shot so we can watch out for him.

I sure hope he's not out in no time. We've had problems with mail theft and mailbox tampering. I wonder if it was this perp or someone else.

I wonder if this was the same scumbag that tried to pry open our outgoing mailbox slot. Talk about incoherent and absent minded. Time to put this kleptomaniac behind bars!

I am genuinely grateful to the MVPD for catching this guy.
At the same time, although I absolutely want thieves and vandals stopped, every time I hear a story like this I can't help but wonder what led to this person's downfall. In a society where there are so many obstacles to staying afloat, let alone to thriving, it's easy to fall through the cracks, as evidenced by all the folks living in RV's or in tents along our creeks, to name one example.

I had the exact same thought. Maybe this guy is a genuine "scumbag" but it seems more likely he fell on hard times and made some bad decisions. I was raised in a life of privilege but when I went off to college, my parents cut me off. Amazing how quickly I fell into poverty without the support of my parents. I was lucky, though, that I met a few people that helped boost me back up. I made some bad decisions along the way (including committing crimes). Some of you would have called my acts of desperation those of a scumbag. Long story short, I followed those bad choices with good ones and now I'm a friggin' millionaire. I use a significant portion of my wealth to help others. I think it'd be great if we didn't immediately equate bad decisions with a lack of morality.
