Tonight: Mountain View meeting on Caltrain fare proposals

Caltrain commuters have an opportunity to speak out about proposed pricing changes for trips and parking spots at a public meeting in Mountain View tonight.

Adopted FY2017: $111M of $146M (76%) to pay for employee and administrative costs.

2017 employee costs are 7 to 15% above 2016
2017 employee costs are 15 to 28% above 2015

Guess what's expensive and getting more expensive by the month around here, Dan? Housing. Guess what that makes more expensive? Labor costs, since your employees need more money to keep up with housing costs.

It's not hard to understand the failure. It would cost me almost $20 bucks to take the train-and-bus halfway up the peninsula. And that's not including the whopping monthly parking fee.

I could drive it for less than $2 and get to work a lot faster in a car. And I understand they don't even have wi-fi on the train.

LOL how did you expect those of us who commute via Caltrain to make that meeting?
