I was shocked when I read about this murder 16 years ago. I am shocked again that no one is helping the police find justice for the victim's family. I really doubt she was killed by a lone gunman who kept their mouth shut over all these years.

Is there any information about what kind of gun was used and what direction or distance it was fired from? Someone might know someone who owns that kind of gun.

This is like going to a store AFTER THEY CLOSED and asking to buy something. They aren't going to serve you, it's too late!

There is no statute of limitations for murder. The family and the community deserve closure and justice for this crime. Hopefully some witnesses have morally matured over the years and just needed a reminder to come forward with their information.

One shot. Could it be a case of accidental discharge of a weapon in a pocket or dropped bag?

There are enough cases of people hurting themselves and others by a gun discharging unexpectedly.

Would explain why there is no mention of someone holding a weapon.

At this point, with no other leads, I imagine they are hoping that if someone knows something, the guilt over the years will weigh on them and they may come fwd. I wouldn't expect a confession by the perp(if they even know they did it) but perhaps a trusted friend was told and that friend now may want to clean his conscience. Maybe they are no longer friends...the reward may help.
I hope the family can find closure.

It appears that there is a "moderator", read "censor" on this site that has decided to delete several of my comments in this thread. I was simply calling out blatant lies perpetrated by another list member. The fact that they have censored me and not the lies of the other user is something that ALL of you should be concerned about. This is NOT an open forum. This is a censored venue, where if you present a dissenting opinion based in fact, you will be silenced because someone simply does not agree with you.
You know who you are.
