Pill mill doc sentenced for manslaughter

A 74-year-old Mountain View woman who ran a pain management clinic in the South Bay was sentenced last month to four years in prison after an investigation found she gave one of her patients prescriptions for "hundreds" of pills including Oxycodone, Flexeril and Clonazepam. The patient was later found dead in his home after ingesting the narcotics.

Crazy, this is pretty similar to what drug dealers do. Glad she won't be harming anyone now.

Only 4 years??? Really? I hope she gave up a bunch of her partners in crime to get her plea bargain.

I recently took a trip to Edinburgh/McAllen, TX and was shocked at the number of "pain management" clinics there. When I drove along major streets, there seemed to be one about every half mile or so, blatantly advertising Pain Management. I just did an online search of pain management clinics in those two cities and easily got many 10's of hits. YP claimes to have 292 hits related to pain management in those two cities, but I didn't have time to check them out.

She is a despicable individual. We can thank Pharma companies, facilitated by our FDA, corrupt doctors and lobbyists for the opioid crisis in this country. The latest scandal Web Link
