Missing 13-year-old girl found

A Crittenden Middle School student who was reported missing after school on Wednesday, April 19, was found safe the next day in Woodland -- happy news for the school staff and students, who are "grateful for the entire Mountain View community for the care and concern they have demonstrated."

Well, the circle of silence because she is a minor is certainly understandable. I'm so glad she is found alive and hopefully unharmed but I am left puzzled about the how and to what purpose she left in the first place. I do hope the police and social services take an in depth look at whatever triggered her odd behavior i.e. running away from home. It's such a dangerous choice for a young girl.

PS: Big Kudos to the MV police for their careful and dedicated efforts on behalf of Myra. Well done and thanks. I little dark place in my heart is now shiny and fine again.
