Most of us had not heard about this team. Great. Congrats. St. Francis of Mountain View, a private Catholic high school, wins CCS titles regularly. Unlike the sister paper in Palo Alto (the Palo Alto Weekley), the Mountain View Voice rarely reports on sports. Maybe that should change. High school sports - especially team sports - can be valuable training for life.

I am looking forward to congratulating the team in Council Chambers on the 25th. What an amazing accomplishment!

I agree. We have so many great high school sports teams in our area, it would be great cover more sports. . MVHS girls soccer team has been very good the last few years. Congratulations to the student-athletics on their accomplishments and representing their school.

Hooray! What a wonderful accomplishment. I wish I had known about this team. I would have gone to their local games. I love the way women play soccer... depend on skills and smarts and tend to avoid cheap shots and silly false injuries to stop an opponent's skillful attacks. Boys... take a lesson.
