residency checks have to be carried out at all schools, and kids who live out of bounds should be allowed to stay on a case my case basis.
Why should the district pay for services provided to say a San Jose resident? Why should the classrooms be overcrowded? Even at schools with less demand the classrooms are 25+ kids!

As the district states,it's not a perfect plan but will crack down on out of city students. I encourage the district to apply the same rules to Stevenson.

Why on Earth aren't we building more schools? Is it because the people of Mountain View are too cheap to want to pay the higher taxes necessary? This is ridiculous!

Wouldn't a lot of this be solved by eliminating open enrollment and redistricting the schools?

To Mr. Rudolph
You said,
"Slater is the monster that eats everything else," Rudolph said. "And that's what we want. We want to relieve pressure at all the other sites by opening Slater. That's its purpose."
No, it's having a privet school with our tax dollars. That's your true monster.
A weight would be lifted for all our kids if every child had the same education across all our schools.
Voteing NO.
So Mr. Rudolph you want to relieve pressure, make Stevenson a school for all our students. STOP wasting tax payers dollars.

Stevenson is already a school for all students.

wouldn't be my first choice, if I were still a Trustee, but -
Open Process, Open Options publicly published before the Public Meeting, and politically charged (short term) public policy selected by the elected representatives of the electors of the MVWSD. That is what elective representative democracy is suppose to do.
E pluribus unum (the Latin traditional motto for the nation is good a motto for the District)

Money for portables is no object with voting underway for or against Measure B which would collect about $3 million per year for 8 years = $24 million. Higher math not required.. The problem is partly that the District has leased out two school sites (Whisman and Slater) and recently extended the leases for decades to come. Why? $$$ for higher salaries and benefits and for more administrators.
