Gang sweep leads to 15 arrests

Original post made on Mar 16, 2017

Fifteen people were arrested across Santa Clara County last week as part of a gang task force co-sponsored by the Mountain View Police Department. Local officials gave assurances that immigration status has no bearing on the operation.

Why is it a bad thing if they were to be deported in accordance with our laws?

@taxpayer

Did you read this? "Nelson gave assurances that immigration status had no bearing on the March 3 operation in Santa Clara County"

Why even bring up immigration, I just assumed they were all citizens? Is someone hiding in your microwave?

Hopefully the good people of ICE are reading this and monitoring the Santa Clara County jail and Court Houses, thanks to the Voice for providing some names and context, though they probably already got all the info from the FBI. Make America Safe Again. All criminals here illegally should fear being brought to justice including deportation if applicable. What is wrong with that?

Why are they being apologetic about immigration status? If these gangbangers are here illegally, they need to be DEPORTED. They are criminals.

I'm growing very weary of local law enforcement being brow-beaten by PC progressive lawmakers into not enforcing laws.

If you are in the US illegally, you are not an "undocumented immigrant", you are a CRIMINAL.

I think this is an issue that a lot of us, Liberal and Conservative, can get together on. Not all Libs or Cons, but a lot.

If people can stop calling each other names we might see the agreement by many on both sides...if you're mature enough to quit stereotyping 1/2 the country and calling them names.

@Greg David

"Why are they being apologetic about immigration status?" - because that are experts in local crime and policing, not typing in CAPS on the internet.
