Why start out the article by insulting the CSMA building?

First off, do you have any idea how lucky we are to have a dedicated arts *building* like this in our community? Secondly, it's not drab. It may be modern and minimalist but if you spend time there it is anything but drab. They have a lovely gallery space with rotating art shows, a central courtyard where my kids have played in between lessons, lots of classrooms filled with materials, and a decent-sized auditorium for performances. I like the building itself, as well as the arts programs offered there.
