What happened to the funds from the Super Bowl that were to be earmarked for homeless housing?

Is anyone concerned about creating a freeloading problem? Heck, I might live in an RV for a month if it would help me score a rental subsidy from the city.

Would be interesting to see how they vet the recipients of this funding. Where is the proof that they were MV residents? How long? I don't mind giving support but I'd like to confirm that it's going to legitimate, needful people.

mvresident2003, what would you like to see? What level of "needful" would satisfy you? How long should they have been residents and what should they do to prove it to you if they've been chronically homeless?

I don't know @mvresident2002, I'm sure as a community we could all agree on something. Since you've got some good criteria, care to share your thoughts?

I'm not the one worried about only "legitimate, needful" people getting the benefit. Since you can't come up with anything, I'm sure we'll do just fine.

I'm sure you will, it's easy to come up with ways to spend others money.

You need to get your story straight, do you want to help these people or not? Sounds like it's only OK if you don't have to spend any money, which really isn't in the spirit of the season.

Hey, if I could get subsidized housing, I'll just drive my motorhome back to our property in Mountain View and live off of it until my parents die. I'll just bring a dinghy and my e-bike to go to work with. Happy Holidays and all that good cheer...

@the_punnisher, what's stopping you? If you honestly think that's your best option right now, I feel bad for you, and I'm more than happy to help you out.
