Congratulations Bryan Johnson!

Good to know dark money doesn't rule, elections can't be bought, and that Tanya Raschke will not be able to use the LASD school board as a bully pulpit or to advance the Bullis agenda any further!

Buh-bye!

Congratulations to Bryan. Let's hope that he has the courage to stand up to the Covington Cabal which currently runs LASD.

It is great to see that at least one good programmer 'likes' Johnson so much. Since when could 353 LASD readers hold back from posting on a LASD topic? sure

The whole new school thing changes with Prop 51 passing. LASD can just apply to the
state and get 50% of the cost for a new school site covered. I'm sure they must be flush with excitement about that. $300 Million goes a lot further than $150 Million.

Now the REAL issue is, WHY isn't that money being used to open a new school near El Camino Real to serve the 600+ kids in Mountain View who live in that small area. That small area is divided between THREE different schools in Los Altos, including the EXALTED Covington Campus. Without the 200 MV kids there, that schools enrollment would drop to 350 studens. It's 16 acres of land next to a 6.5 acre Los Altos park. It's centrally located.

Now gee, where could we build new buildings to house 900 students attending a charter school by their choice who reside ALL over the district of LASD????

It's a no brainer. Build a new school for MV near El Camino Real and then add a 2nd set of buildings onto Covington's 21.5 acres of land with only 350 nearby students in attendance.

For that's what COLD LOGIC would suggest.

Looks like the current Board is now going to move with lightning speed to purchase 5150 El Camino. They aren't even going to wait for Bryan's term to begin. They are going to WASTE, yes, waste the entire $150M of measure N bond funds on a small and completely inappropriate site for a new school! It's the most gutless and corrupt thing I have ever seen in Los Altos politics. Really hope that Bryan will speak out against this and declare his opposition. If he does not then he is complicit.

I am thrilled that so many people could see the wolf under the sheep's costume. Johnson will assure all students including those with special needs will get a fare shake. I am sure Tanya Raschke will surface somewhere else with BCS's agenda. At least the swamp has been temporarily been drained.
