LASD parcel tax campaign raises $100K

Proponents of the Los Altos School District's Measure GG parcel tax have brought in over $100,000 in campaign funds, according to a campaign finance report released Thursday.

Will TBWB get another $20,000 bonus on top of their outsized fees if the measure passes, like they did for Measure N? It seems to me that $100,000+ is a lot of money to pay the consultants running meetings and crafting messaging while bulk of the campaign work is done by the volunteer parents. Imagine what the schools could do with that kind of money donated directly for educational purposes...

This measure should have been able to pass on it's own merits with minimal campaign spending. It's a shame that hard earned PTA funds are being diverted to this instead of going to more productive uses.
