If we find ever find out we're not alone, it will be the biggest story ever. If you like speculations on what might happen and the philosophical questions extraterrestrial life might raise, together with a little bit of humor, consider picking up the novel "Calculating God" by Canadian author Robert J. The Allen Telescope Array at Hat Creek has 42 radio dishes not 350.

The software and system in general can cope with a maximum of 350 radio dishes.

SETI could use more money to increase the actual number of radio dishes, though Douglas Adams would no doubt have approved of the current number of 42.

Considering how many people behave better when they know or think they
are being observed ... perhaps someone should find a way to fake a signal
from space and bring a little self-consciousness to planet Earth. That way
maybe we might not behave to stupidly and destructively to each other,
our planet and other life forms.
