Dear Julie and family of Greg,
Michigan State University (MSU) and the staff and students of the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities (RCPD) remember Greg as a steadfast supporter of education as a vital tool in overcoming disability challenges.
Greg started his higher education at MSU and applied his knowledge in ways that innovated and made life better for many. We appreciate his return to MSU including support for key projects here around Braille availability and a new app helping students with disabilities navigate campus using contemporary technology. The recent publication found at the following address tells the bigger story of his outreach to future generations of Spartans with disabilities.

Thank you Greg for sharing your talents and gifts with others. You are remembered as a change agent at MSU.

I first met Greg at an ice cream social for the Old Mountain View Neighborhood Association in 2003. I remember his wife Julie telling me that my family and I had moved into a house on Mercy Street that once belonged to friends of theirs. Since that time, it was nearly impossible to be active in OMVNA or Leadership Mountain View, or any civic event around town where you didn't see both Greg and Julie. Not only were they participating, but they were often part of the leadership teams organizing the events. Greg was a Mountain View booster, to be sure.

He will be missed.

Greg has long been a calm, thoughtful, and supportive voice in our city and neighborhood, and an interesting character as well. I too will miss him.

I'm consider myself particularly blessed to have gotten to know Greg over the years and work with him and Julie on Old Mountain View Neighborhood issues and Mountain View's city-wide issues.

Housing developments, parking, sustainability, and maintaining Mountain View's economic diversity were just a few issues that Greg and Julie and I discussed at length.

In addition to providing deep insights, Greg often added a touch of much appreciated humor to our conversations. He will be sorely missed.

Greg has been an inspirational presence in our neighborhood; I will always remember his dedication, thoughtful activism, and earnest friendliness. Greg's intelligence, attention to detail, and compassion for others will be sorely missed at MVCSP meetings and the other community organizations he gave so much of his time to. My deepest sympathies to Julie and the rest of their family members. Greg's legacy will live on in all the work he's done for Mountain View, and in the next generation of activists he inspired.

A light, which never failed to shine on our neighborhood so we can see better, is so suddenly extinguished. Thank you very much for all you have done for the community. I will miss your presence around town. Rest in peace, my friend.

My condolences to Julie and the rest of Greg's family. I first met Greg at an MVEF Board meeting years ago. He was notable as a non parent and for his thoughtful advocacy for all our kids. I'd often see Greg and Julie walking around Castro St. I will miss Greg' presence, but more importantly our community will miss him. His legacy will live on.

I have enjoyed working with Greg over the years and was always taken by his kindness and intelligence. I will miss him and offer sincerest heart-felt condolences to Julie and his entire family.
