Because Measure W was put on the ballot via a very questionable back door i.e. the only people who had a yea or nay say in putting it on the ballot were the few folks sitting on the city council dias No petition seeking public support ever hit the streets. In the past, I've signed or rejected offered petitions for local ballot issues. A set number of signatures are required to make a measure eligible to be on the ballot.
This measure W solutions and its tactics are loaded with fraud hidden behind a smokescreen of convoluted "solutions". Also measure W transparently shows that the majority of the city council are in the pocket of property owners and realtors.
I don't think I'm saying anything profound here. Just saying what needs to be said. Our city is smoothly sliding into the historically terrible category of a "Company Town" with it usual terrible results.

PS: Because measure W doesn't have the right to be on the ballot I wouldn't support it no matter what it said. It has no legitimate standing in our political process.
