This is obvious. You have to give her huge "incentive pay" or else she might quit before her contract expires in 5 weeks!!

Can someone please explain to me why such an exorbitant financial "INCENTIVE" of almost 1/4 MILLION DOLLARS has been approved to be paid to an executive whom the Hospital Board did not renew in a contract?
Will this CEO be provided an additional "severance package"? And, to what extent of financial reward will that be? Under the realm of "transparency," the hospital district and public should have this awareness to understand what the Board's decisions are.
This extravagant incentive to a lame duck CEO was deemed appropriate by a Hospital Board who seems not to have sanctioned an equally appropriate contract for the frontline bedside care providers---NURSES. It was the care of the bedside staff including nurses, physician, CNAs, respiratory therapists and other ancillary staff that provided me with care to survive. How is the hospital board and administration taking care of those who are the hospital's frontline care providers of the public? I have not seen any reports that the nurses have received an acceptable contract.
