This death could have been for any number of reasons - not just careless cell phone use. The driver could have suffered a stroke or heart attack, or perhaps dodged an animal in the road - we have yet no way of knowing.
We all need to pay attention when driving- the devastation vehicles can cause is dramatic and yes, often so senseless. Even if the death was from carelessness or inattention, I do know that someone somewhere is grieving for this person's death, and I send them condolences.
