Palo Alto Square theater to remain open -- for now

More than 2,600 signatures and letters from the Palo Alto City Council to the landlord of the CinéArts Theatre in Palo Alto and to theater headquarters appear to have at least temporarily stayed the shuttering of the much-loved movie house.

What are all these upgrades they keep talking about? How about some details, journalists? I hope they don't intend to cut the seating way back like at Aquarius, just so they can raise prices. Now half the time you go there they tell you they're sold out.
