Palo Alto parents ask public's help to find missing son

The parents of a Palo Alto man who vanished 11 days ago are seeking the public's help to find their son, 30-year-old Andrew Pearl. Andrew walked out of a group home for persons disabled by mental illness on July 11 at around 5 p.m. and has not been heard from since.

Thank you to Andrew's parents for being so open about their son, their family, and their experience living with mental illness. I will certainly keep my eyes open for him, and I wish them the best during this nail-biting time.

I work in Mountain View daily and will be on the look out for Andrew. Although the description is detailed, it would be helpful to include a recent photo of Andrew.
My heart and prayers go out to his family and all families that are struggling with having a loved one mentally ill. It is saddening to hear that medical insurances continue to cut coverage and place patients at risk, in bookkeeping decisions like this. Insurance have been famous for managing money and not managing care.
