Policy passed by Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors allows requests for change of measure letter

The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors passed a policy Tuesday that will help voters differentiate between local measures of the past and present that share the same letter and cover similar issues.

They should simply append the year of the measure to the letter designation, like B-2012 or B-2016, like automobile model years, some software packages, or sports seasons.

Most voting adults are acquainted with some or all of those.
