That Mustang Convertible is the real loss. It was worth about $50 Grand easily at today's prices. A house can be rebuilt, that Mustang may not be rebuildable.

I am surprised the article didn't mention that the house was for sale. House and expensive car burned??? Hmm smells fishy.

The Mustang was in the driveway and didn't burn, and doesn't look too bad to me. The windshield looks badly cracked and I'm sure the plastic and rubber bits up front melted, but the rag top was still intact, and I think the engine is fine too. Judging from how the untouched rear looks, it was a fixer-upper before the fire anyway, worth maybe 5 grand. The can be saved, in my opinion, though $50,000 is a bit out there. Maybe a perfect car might...

The house was listed for $1.6 million. It is now listed for 1.3 million dollars/property value only. Sheesh!
