Police arrest prowling suspect

Police arrested a 29-year-old transient man Thursday night after he was allegedly found prowling on San Luis Avenue with a baton and wearing a tactical vest.

You can carry a gun but you can't carry a baton? Look, if you're going to promote an arms race amongst the general population, then why have rules? Guns, brass knuckles, knives, batons, cross bows, swords, truck-bed mounted machines guns ... Mad Max, bring it on!

@confused: You ARE obviously confused. He was not arrested for carrying a baton. Prowling around at night with a baton and tactical vest got him briefly detained. The drug paraphernalia and burglary tools got him arrested. How is that not obvious?
