Ames scientists working to get Kepler spacecraft back on track

The Kepler spacecraft, NASA Ames' hugely successful planet-finder, experienced a minor catastrophe last week when engineers learned that the probe, located 75 million miles away from Earth, had switched to emergency mode.

I wish the Kepler folks all the luck they need. The system is well past its prime and living on borrowed time but is still capable of more good science if they can get it back to steady pointing and data taking.
