Like if this will solve anything. Maybe for a hand full of people, but when more people hear about free housing for the so called poor, then all the poor from everywhere will descend on our city.

Why is this problem so endemic to just Mountain View? I don't see the intensity of concern to homelessness and people living in vehicles to the degree that is focused towards Mountain View. Could it be the lack of ordinances, and enforcement of? Why the lambasting of high income housing around high tech companies that have employees that can afford that housing. Why must people that can afford to live here have to witness the degradation of our streets by people living in their vehicles and making waste of the streets and adjoining parks. If you think that is contributing to our community, think twice, the majority are freeloaders playing the system. A much more affordable area for the "homeless" and low income workers exists just a mile away in East Palo Alto. Why not refute this community for not "stepping up" to build and subsidize housing for the poor; or Sunnyvale, or, on and on. To me it all comes down to the Mountain View governing bodies and powers to be not addressing the life and needs of the majority of residents to the complaints and self imposed privileges of the "have nots" There is no "entitlement" or right to live anywhere one chooses if affordability says otherwise. Just because an area becomes affordable to some doesn't mean that city government must be forced to accommodate on the premise of political correctness.
