Let's hope that this means that they will be staying on their approved routes and not speeding down residential streets as shortcuts anymore.

Mountain View is not an island.

Palo Alto and Mountain View must both cater to residents who have to get from one place to the other San Antonio is not the Berlin Wall.

@PA Resident:

Local residents have other options like VTA and Caltrain at their disposal. Neither the City of Mountain View nor the City of Palo Alto is required to provide free transit to every single resident.

VTA is the public transit agency for Santa Clara County. You are free to bring up your concerns with them.

There is no reason why shuttles should be free. A modest fare and an improved service makes a lot of sense to me.

VTA continually prove that they are not interested in providing service to North Santa Clara County. There is no reason why Mountain View and Palo Alto cannot provide a joint service, coordinating their shuttles, and getting our residents where they need to go. It sounds to me as if you approve of the Berlin Wall.

The main downside of the free shuttle is that it stops early in the day. I can get where I need to go using the shuttle, but I can't take it to go home.... So I end up driving anyway.
