I applaud the district's decision to delay given all the issues stated. It is not even a true competitive bidding process with only one vendor submitting a proposal, there is a high ranking staffer whose husband is the co-owner of the only company bidding....um, huge conflict of interest, and given the concerns around previous work with RMC. The lingering question for me is why would other companies not submit a bid? It would be nice to see another reputable company or companies throw their hat into the ring on this.

The Voice presented an editorial in Friday's edition which states the approval of the no-bid contract was on the agenda of the Water Board for Tuesday, February 9. The online agenda so states. When did the Water Board meet to decide otherwise?
