Just shows what the unions can do for you. Get a cushie job and retire handsomely on the same income you made when you worked and get a severance to make all other company severances look like peanuts.

How much longer will the taxpayers get fleeced like this from our new upper class citizens?

Isn't Mountain View's new mayor a manager at the Santa Clara Valley Water District?

Yep. She is. The same one who lied to the public about her support for BRT.

Over $300k/year (probably more like $400k/year once you factor in pension and other executive perks) for a basic admin job to run an agency AND a contract providing for 6 month severance? Total BS - even worse that the idiots on the board agreed to pay severance after all this ineptitude. The facts in the article suggest that he could have easily been term'd for cause. Why do we guarantee these public "servants" such fat packages? I'm ok with decent pay for executive work, but in such cases the public (and public's representatives) need to insist on accountability.

DA office won't look too closely because what's good for the goose is good for the gander. This is par for the course in "public service" in our community.
