Police are looking for an armed man in Mountain View that has prompted students and staff a nearby Castro Elementary school to shelter in place this afternoon.

How did they get his photo if they don't know who he is? Something very fishy about this story.
They DID know who it was. They just did not release the name because others could then shoot him a text telling him to hide out.
Stand down, zero is fishy here...oh and they just caught the guy.
I'm just grateful for the quick response by the MVPD and Castro/Mistral school sites for going into lock down. Excellent coordination and response by the teachers, staff and principals.
I was there to pick up my grandson. I was impressed by the MV Police response to a very difficult situation.
fyi - the MV police press release does identify the gunman.
I wonder if the armed man's gun was registered and/or if he legally owned the gun.
If a gun is legal, is a "brandished" gun not also legal. What good is a gun if you can't brandish it? Sarcasm aside, how are you supposed to tell the good guys from the bad guys if everybody is open carrying a gun (I understand that is not legal here)?
