Caltrain mechanical failure affects Mountain View commute

A southbound Caltrain died on the tracks in Mountain View Monday evening, according to Caltrain officials.

We felt a big THUD, like a bump in the road, and then the train quickly decelerated. Then they had us wait outside in the cold for what seemed like forever.
