Palo Alto police shoot, kill person who allegedly wielded knife

A person who police said was armed with a knife and charged at Palo Alto police officers was shot and later died at a local hospital, according to a police department press release.

More details in the Palo Alto Online report. Initially appears to be a "suicide by cop".
