Traffic nightmare due to huge accident on 101 late Saturday evening

We drove the Shoreline on ramp to 101 sb Saturday evening and there appeared to be a huge accident. Many emergency vehicles and what appeared to be a car on fire from what we could see while driving past on the ramp. As we returned later it was still there and traffic seemed to be snarled for quite a ways.

Does anyone know more about this accident?
