Board OKs $43M plan for Castro School

Last Thursday marked a victory for parents and school staff at the shared Castro and Mistral elementary schools' campus. After months of weighing potential cuts to cope with rising construction costs, the board agreed to go ahead with a $43 million plan to revamp the schools and significantly increase the number of classrooms for students.

Well if the District need money to complete the construction for all site schools; they can use the $30 million savings from donations they have in the Bank. $198 million in Measure G bond money is enough to complete everything. The money is there,the district can afford to go over.
