Speed humps on residential streets

Great letter. I completely agree with this idea. How do we get our city officials to consider putting in speed bumps in every neighborhood? I wonder what the cost would be per speed bump.

"How about doing something proactive to make our smaller residential streets safer for pedestrians and bicyclists and small children and even cats and dogs?"

Oh please! "our smaller residential streets"? "Our over worked PD"...?

Let's just improve the quality of living for all residents - renters and homeowners...this would include safer cross walks and hiring more police...goodness knows - with all the taxes flooding in from major developers - this is possible.
