"Officials are warning the public not to get nervous" about unusual military aircraft activity this weekend (said the front-page item in yesterday's Daily Post). Paratroopers flying out of Moffett Field for demonstrations at Levi's Stadium, especially for the 49ers football game today. Maybe that was it?
(I didn't notice any mention here on the Voice website, but it was evidently public information.)

No, it was SFO commercial air traffic. United, Hawaiian, Korean Airlines jets. I was using a flight tracker app and saw them all circle back to SFO. Wonder why SFO was sending aircraft this way in light of the "unusual military aircraft activity" going on ?

Air space is like a 3-D highway system in the sky. These aircraft are just doing what they always do when landing. They are being vectored by air traffic control. Nothing unusual there.

PH - I realize that, but SFO airplanes are not always vectored over the skies of Mountain View. Not sure how I can phrase this any more clearly but last Sunday there many more airplanes than usual flying over the skies of Mountain View. I am looking for the reasons WHY this was so. Weather reasons? Were planes being diverted to SFO from other airports? Or is SFO air traffic control now avoiding sending planes over Palo Alto because the residents there petitioned Anna Eshoo about airplane noise? Obviously I fear the latter reason because Palo Altans tend to get what they want, even if it is detrimental to their neighbors. Mountain View has Moffet and San Jose air traffic. We do not need SFO using our skies as an turn around spot too.
