Why is this being posted in the Mountain View Voice? This is in Sunnyvale. If it's general Santa Clara County info, shouldn't it be in the Palo Alto online also?

It makes total sense that it's in MV's paper. MV and SV share borders as well as homeless populations who live along the creeks.
This is also very relevant to MV as MV is also considering creating a shelter area with the harsh winter approaching. This was a recent story w/in the past weeks.

Sure, then isn't it relevant to Palo Alto too? They also have a large homeless population living cars.

I am happy to hear of this approval, but I hope there is also a plan to tackle care of our county's homeless people on short notice of early inclement weather. I can't help but think abou those people who were killed locally by early freezing temperatures due to lack of planning in recent years.

Great news that the County found a parcel for the shelter. I hope that the County, VTA and the cities will also assist the homeless in getting safely to the shelter as it's really not at a location one can easily walk to.

No, because PA does not share a border w/ MV. Technically the news could be spread throughout the entire bay area, but it's MOST relevant to SV and it's bordering cities. And there ya have it, mystery solved.

What can we do for a sibling that's is homeless & addict. Wet Cold weather is coming. Past 5 years William was sleeping in his car. Arrested and the car towed. Intervention before he turns 62. He will qualify for a Pension and SSI retirement benefits.
