Plans advance for salt pond restoration

Just this past week, in an area under the same type of restoration only in Fremont, they found 2 endangered clapper rails(M and F calling to each other) as well as endangered salt marsh harvest mice. This was less than 10 years after restoration started. Prior to that the "regular" birds and such had begun to fill in during the first spring and then kept on going. This project is really going to positively affect the entire South Bay. Good stuff!

This article is confusing. Are the salt ponds *NORTH* of MV or are they *IN* MV?
If they are in our city, where?
A bit more precision in language would be helpful, writers.

The Charleston Slough pond located mid map is one, and I believe the Shoreline Slough pond is the other.

My apologies about the confusion. The areas being focused on are directly east of the Charleston Slough. I uploaded a map from the council report that should clarify where the salt ponds are.
