Congratulations to Dr. Flatmo! She is a wonderful professional who has helped my family personally. She is truly dedicated to bringing the best mental health program possible to MVLA and the greater community. Thank you to Superintendent Harding for making student mental health a priority. Welcome to MVLA.

Dr. Flatmo worked with my Asperger daughter for years at MVLA in order to address some very difficult behaviors. She was always a consummate professional - helpful, gentle, and encouraging. She has a remarkable ability to explain complex ideas in clear, respectful language. I feel our current students are in the best possible hands with Susan! I am so glad Superintendent Harding took this step to consolidate and strengthen the program.

Congratulations! This is so very needed and I can't wait to see how much this helps the teens. I think having teens supporting one another is so important because at this age feeling the need to be accepted is already difficult and having the mental illness on top of that breaks my heart. I am advocating for adolescents and Mental Health in Santa Clara county and seeing new programs come out make me feel like people are really coming together and taking action. Congrats Doctor Flatmo and I am excited to meet you personally one of these days.

Congratulations, Susan Flatmo! Keeping this in-house instead of contracting it out sounds like a great change for the district and students.

While I am happy the Distrct has made this very good decision and I can see by so many positive comments regarding Ms. Flatmo....

I will remain hopeful those with the most urgent needs will be addressed and given priority. Thousands of hard working, honorable people in Mountain View are stressed to the core; many are Latino, renters with High School children, who are beside themselves with fear because their rents have gone up at one time 700.00 and more. Their kids have a poor quality of well being and thus can't focus on their studies because they live under a constant umbrella of stress of displacement.

Mtn View- Thank you so much for reminding the MVLA community of this need. I don't know anyone who is not shocked by the recent changes in the local housing market and we must be aware of how these changes are impacting the mental health needs of our youth.

Congratulations Dr Flatmo! You are one of the best professionals @ MVLA & the positive change you are & have been bringing to the district is wonderful. Your ability to find those in need, as well as teach staff & now students to do the same, is commendable. I have no worries that you will be addressing the Mountain View students affected by the huge rental increases & the resulting added stress.
I am so happy to hear that Superintendent Harding is embracing your in-house solutions. With your outreach you are able to find those in need, like when you check in with students alone @ lunch time.
Thank goodness you are now an employee instead of a consultant as you will have more impact.
Also welcome Superintendent Harding! I can't wait to meet you. Thank you for being so committed to the mental health of our students.

Congratulations to Susan Flatmo for being selected as the District’s new Clinical Services Coordinator and, especially, congratulations to the District for establishing this position in-house. Dr. Flatmos is a gifted clinician and a dedicated leader. She is the ideal choice to lead the district’s mental health services in effectively and wisely responding to students’ needs.
