They found the missing step at the Inca Temple and it proves they were right. It's over man, this is it. Al Gore was right, where's my wallet for a donation.

This is how you take a simple story about how hot is was and try and turn it into an "Oh that AL Gore and his global warming" discussion.
I don't have time but can someone please play with him? He _is_ reaching out.

"Some Like It Hot!"
The year 2014 was the warmest year in earth's recorded history (since about 1880).
And the first 6 months of 2015 have been the warmest 6 months in history.
Enjoy!!!

A Mountain View newspaper runs an article that mentions a record high temperature in Mountan View, but never indicates how hot? Hack journalism at its best. Keep it up MV Voice.

No. A Mountain View newspaper did a story on the RECORDS that were broken around the bay area. MV broke no records but the cities listed in the story did(shocking) They not once mentioned MV was in the group of new record highs.
Your misunderstanding of what the story was actually about does not constitute hack journalism, but it shines a light on hack comprehension that can lead to hack comments.
*Make sure of what you're complaining about next time.
