City approves $2.3 million for solar arrays

Shining a light on Mountain View's commitment to green power, the city will soon install three new swaths of solar panels as part of a $2.3 million project expected to eventually pay back its cost over years of energy savings.

This is a good start, and I'm glad to see the City investing in renewable energy. I hope more businesses and residential property owners will do the same. I know that 4 of the City Council members have installed solar panels on their own homes, showing that they support solar with their own checkbooks too. The other 3 might have solar too, I just don't happen to know if they do or not.
