So, Cal water has submitted a 2nd sample for testing, either on Sunday or Monday, and the test results aren't due until Wed? That means that there is a two or three day waiting period for receiving test results. This means that there almost certainly was a significant time lag between when the water main was broken and Cal Water warned its customers of e-coli contamination. What I'd like to know is exactly when the water main was broken (not fixed), and when Cal Water knew there was e-coli contamination after the first test. Looks like customers could have been exposed to e-coli for up to 48 hours before they were warned. Cal Water's communication has been so dreadfully bad on water rationing that I no longer trust them to provide timely and truthful information. They're just scrambling to cover their backs from lawsuits.

This proves that tap water in not safer than bottled water. I'm so sick of people saying tap water is better because it's tested, whereas bottled water is not. Thanks, but I'll keep drinking my Crystal Geyser which comes from Mt. Shasta, rather than tap water contaminated with sewage, or raw untreated reservoir water as was the case about 6 months ago when someone flipped the wrong lever.

Well here's another. Its about 14 brands sold in 11 states affected by a bottled water e. coli contamination just last month.

Can you please post a map that you actually can see the area? I cannot see the streets surrounding the affected area, thus I am not even sure my residential area if affected. This is truly pathetic!

If you didn't get a notice, you were not affected. I use the past tense "were' because the issue has past and they contamination is gone, so at this time nobody is affected. It's over.

Bradlee, it proves nothing! Not a single person got sick from this "scare". Thw whole thing was much ado about nothing. Now I'm going to go drink me some free tap water. You keep sucking down that overpriced stuff in plastic bottles.
