I would like to be informed as to how these bacteria got into the water in the first place… The article did not mention this….

Kathleen's justification worked in the 60s, not anymore! We need to know how it happen and make sure that there are measures in place to prevent it to happening again.

Whenever you print maps in your online or print editions, the size is so ridiculously small, the map in unreadable (even clicking on the online version). This has also been true when you've printed maps of school district boundaries.
Since this current topic is safety-related, it would've been nice to provide a written description of the streets forming the boundary of the impacted area. (I was able to link to a decipherable map via the "notification" link in the article.)
Please use bigger maps...otherwise you're just wasting space.

This was a lesson for me. Our household was lacking in emergency preparedness in some areas. Our 130 gallons of stored emergency water was over a year old, and I didn't dare touch it. Had to rely on local Andronico's for water. It would have been too bad for us if there had been an earthquake or another disaster that caused Andronico's to have been cleaned out before I got there. That's something for all of us to take to heart.
