I am acquainted with Dr. Miner and based on what I know and have heard from Foothill faculty, she is an excellent choice for FHDA Chancellor. She is a "people person" and is very skilled at dealing with people. This is an essential for a chancellor, who must work effectively with people inside FHDA and also act at its external representative with State and local governments as well as other organizations and individuals important to the future of FHDA. In addition to supporting academic excellence at FHDA, she understands the importance of community outreach to gain community support for FHDA's programs and activities. Also, she is an extremely nice and highly likeable and intelligent person. She also loves opera and has a pretty good voice, and that certainly can't hurt either.
