Ridiculous that this was posted here. The man claiming to be renting out a tent is a liar, and MV Voice failed to do proper fact checking before publishing this article. Here's what some random person who took the extra 5 minutes required to check Potter's claims has to say about this publicity stunt:

New Yorker has a article about renting a attic crawl space in Brooklyn as a sleeping loft which was a humor piece. Seriously people wanted to rent what can best be described as a crawl big enough for bed, light, small TV and a fan. People were upset and willing to 2x's the amount in rent because demand for sleeping space is high. I would take high quality tent with heat over NYC over the closet sleeping loft anyday. Do you get to use the bathroom and kitchen in the main house.

@Bob: Don't you know that this newspaper doesn't work on the weekends. It's strictly a Monday through Friday operation. If anything happens over the weekend it won't be covered by this paper. Look for any updates to this story on Monday. :)

I wonder what the city codes say about renting out a tent/outdoor area on your property. I've been living here in MV before the tech boom and prices are insane now! That new Google campus near Monta Loma will make the prices jump even more. Amazing.
